Aquila Jet Training
Aquila Jet Training is an online air resilience program that helps pilots learn to adapt to stressful situations and ensure they always perform at their best. To bring you the best experience, we collect some personally identifying data about you when you visit our site. What and why we collect this data is outlined in the policy below.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. If you choose to upload media, Aquila Jet Training will not process metadata such as location data but cannot guarantee users or third party providers will do the same.
When you enter your details into a contact form, we store information such as your name and email address with the sole purpose of contacting you and keeping you up to date on our latest news and developments. This information is stored securely by a third party provider and is not shared with other third parties.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. This setting has been created solely for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details each time you leave another comment. Your details will be kept on record for one year; after this, they will be erased from the system.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine whether your type of browser accepts cookies or not. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded instantly upon closing the browser page.
Once you log in, there have been several cookies programmed to save your login information and your screen display choices. These ‘login cookies’ last for 48 hours, and ‘screen options’ cookies last for a year. If you select “Accept”, your login details will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be instantly removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie will include no personal data and has simply been programmed to indicate the post ID of said article. It will expire after 1 day.
If you make a purchase through our site, we will set a temporary cookie to save the progress of your purchase. Upon completion of the transaction, the cookie and details gathered will be removed.
Embedded content from other websites
Aquila Jet Training is dedicated to bringing you the latest updates from the aviation industry, and this may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Aquila Jet Training does not use third-party analytics services. From time to time, Aquila Jet Training may commission a report regarding the number of users on the site, however it will be done so using anonymised user data and will not share any otherwise personally identifying information of any such report with third parties.
Who we share your data with
Aquila Jet Training will not share, sell or otherwise disclose your personal data to our partners, affiliates or service providers. Aquila Jet Training’s employees and contractors may access details such as your username and email address for several purposes such as providing user support, or to notify end users of a change or development regarding their account or where otherwise appropriate. We may also use third party contractors to access your data at your request, such as if you request to have your personal information altered in any way.
How long do we retain your data?
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except their username which is permanent upon creation). Website administrators can also see and edit that information if needs be.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data that we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any of that personal data. However, this cannot be done so for any data with which we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Your data is stored on secure servers, including some within the United States: our policy applies equally across jurisdictions, and the geographic location of your data does not affect your rights to access, amend and delete such data.
How we protect your data
Aquila Jet Training uses the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and TLS (Transport Layer Security) secure communications protocol, which encrypts your data over the internet and makes it more difficult for unauthorised third parties to read it and transit. Our storage servers are secured by an external third party (WP) who employ strict security procedures.
As an end user, you have the right to access, halt processing and request deletion of your personal data at any time. To do so, contact firstname.lastname@example.org and provide a description of your request along with a reason for doing so. To complete your request, Aquila Jet Training may need to access your data in accordance with this policy.
